The current challenges we intend to examine include the restructuring of education, alternative models of scholarly communication, the growth of private\/for-profit institutions, the onset of new modes of delivery, knowledge management and content management, the expansion of online learning and the rise of MOOCs (massive open online courses), new spaces and new roles.
