It displays a panoramic and comprehensive view of the Library\u2019s digital life in order to help people find their way and work together in this complex ecosystem on a day-to-day basis. Its regions are surrounded by the Knowledge Ocean; its lands extend beyond the map\u2019s borders, open to numerous partnerships, tools, projects and ideas.<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/arl\/files\/2021\/08\/BnF-Road-Map.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-669 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/arl\/files\/2021\/08\/BnF-Road-Map-300x212.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"363\" height=\"256\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/arl\/files\/2021\/08\/BnF-Road-Map-300x212.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/arl\/files\/2021\/08\/BnF-Road-Map.png 601w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 363px) 100vw, 363px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This edition of the Library\u2019s Digital roadmap follows two very different ones (in the late 2000s and the mid-2010s [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bnf.fr\/en\/schema-numerique-bnf-2016\">https:\/\/www.bnf.fr\/en\/schema-numerique-bnf-2016<\/a>]). It is the result of a collective approach involving about 150 people, that still supports the digital transformation of the Library today. The medium chosen is quite unusual, drawing inspiration from both the Library\u2019s collections of maps and plans, for example from the \u201cCarte de Tendre\u201d (map of Tender) tradition of the courteous French literature tradition (<a href=\"http:\/\/expositions.bnf.fr\/cartes\/grand\/sq11-06.htm\">http:\/\/expositions.bnf.fr\/cartes\/grand\/sq11-06.htm<\/a>), and also from card games.
