OVERVIEW:\u00a0 Comparing international frameworks, we will look through a Danish lens to examine how literature, film, libraries and museums collectively generate
\ncultural constructions of childhood. This academically rigorous class, which
\nincludes an online component and two weeks in Denmark, offers an engaging
\nopportunity to examine the following:
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 What does it mean to be a child in other countries compared to the
\nUnited States?
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 How do the issues faced by professionals working in these areas
\ncompare to ones faced by professionals in the United States?
\n*\u00a0\u00a0 What can we learn from another culture, and how can our new knowledge
\ntranslate into ideas for practice in the U.S.?
\nCombines online course delivery with face-to-face class time in Denmark; course runs online May 23-June 3 and June 18-July 16, with two weeks in

COSTS
