{"id":66,"date":"2012-07-24T16:27:17","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T15:27:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/literacy-reading\/?p=66"},"modified":"2012-07-24T16:27:17","modified_gmt":"2012-07-24T15:27:17","slug":"ifla-literacy-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/literacy-reading\/2012\/07\/24\/ifla-literacy-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"IFLA Literacy Resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>New IFLA Media and Information Literacy Recommendations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In cooperation with UNESCO&#8217;s Information for All Programme (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/communication-and-information\/intergovernmental-programmes\/information-for-all-programme-ifap\">IFAP<\/a>), the IFLA Information Literacy Section drafted new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifla.org\/en\/publications\/ifla-media-and-information-literacy-recommendations\">Media and Information Literacy Recommendations<\/a> which are now available in several languages. In December 2011 these recommendations were formally endorsed by the IFLA Governing Board. The recommendations will also be a topic at the international conference of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifla.org\/en\/events\/media-and-information-literacy-for-knowledge-societies\">Media and Information Literacy for Knowledge Societies<\/a> on 24-28 June 2012 in Moscow.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Information Literacy World Languages Project <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.csulb.edu\/owa\/redir.aspx?C=b6d12b92428d49698ed6c925409beeb9&amp;URL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.ifla.org%2fen%2finformation-literacy%2fprojects\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>http:\/\/www.ifla.org\/en\/information-literacy\/projects<\/strong><\/a><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This project is making very good progress adding more and more languages to its database, and is adding more and more different languages terms for Information Literacy to the international logo.
