{"id":997,"date":"2022-04-21T17:43:46","date_gmt":"2022-04-21T16:43:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/literacy-reading\/?p=997"},"modified":"2022-04-21T17:43:46","modified_gmt":"2022-04-21T16:43:46","slug":"italian-school-library-guidebook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/literacy-reading\/2022\/04\/21\/italian-school-library-guidebook\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian School Library Guidebook"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"auto\">Luisa Marquardt says:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Last year, wearing my multiples hats (AIB, IFLA, IASL etc.), I had the opportunity and honor to serve the &#8220;Forum del Libro&#8221; (i.e., Book Forum) and &#8220;Save the Children&#8221; NGO in a National project called &#8220;Futuro Prossimo&#8221; (Next future), focusing on reading as a means to combating educational poverty, especially among adolescents in deprived areas.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The booklet I edited and made available in the e-learning platform has now become a book (thanks to the above mentioned associations) and is available both in print and digital format.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It can be considered as &#8220;school librarianship in small bites&#8221;, an adaptation of the IFLA SL Guidelines to\u00a0 the Italian context, a basic school library guideline, that can help those who are more or less totally new to\u00a0 school librarianship or those who have been focusing their role more on reading promotion rather than on inquiry, information literacy etc.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Here&#8217;s a link to the e-book\u00a0<a title=\"Original URL: https:\/\/www.savethechildren.it\/cosa-facciamo\/pubblicazioni\/contrastare-la-poverta-educativa-una-biblioteca-ogni-scuola.
