Communication is an important part of impact.<\/p>\n
It allows us to engage more effectively, both with users and with the decision-makers who determine the future of our institutions and profession.<\/p>\n
Improving our ability to talk about what we do and why it matters is therefore essential.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, it\u2019s also an area where there is plenty of experience and inspiration out there.<\/p>\n
From advertising to political campaigning, and from education to public information, we come across good \u2013 and potentially bad \u2013 communications all of the time.<\/p>\n
Crucially, we can be reflective. Given that we are the target of so much communication ourselves, each of us can bring to the table our own experience of what is most effective, and draw on this in our work.<\/p>\n
