The participants from many different countries were warmly welcomed by Dr. Claudia Lux and the Qatar National Library team.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib-1.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1112\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib-1-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"Metlib 1\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib-1.jpg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Seventeen talks on the following subthemes were presented:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Innovation in Library Services;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Community Learning;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Developing the Future through Children and Teen Services;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Partnerships;<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Staff Development.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>All the presentations can be viewed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.metlib2016qatar.org\/en\/conference_presentations\">here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1111\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib3-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Metlib3\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib3-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.ifla.org\/public-libraries\/files\/2016\/05\/Metlib3.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As customary, the organizing committee had also prepared a cultural program of great quality. Participants unanimously declared that the organization of this METLIB 2016 surpassed all expectations.
