The conference will build on the themes of the public library as an agent for change in the digital age, in particular the public library response to digital community cultural development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tell us about your library\u2019s contribution to the creative economy, digital inclusion and jobs for the future.<\/p>\n<p>The conference organisers invite proposals on the following issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>STEaM : delivering community outcomes<\/li>\n<li>The library as an economic driver.<\/li>\n<li>Creative communities and practice<\/li>\n<li>Community Partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Collections &#8211; digital devices \u00b7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>15 minutes will be allowed for a presentation in the Conference followed by 5 minute discussion\/question time. The full written paper is not to be read.<\/p>\n<p>Proposals should include<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Title of the presentation<\/li>\n<li>Abstract of no more than 400 words<\/li>\n<li>Author(s) name, professional affiliation, postal address, e-mail address<\/li>\n<li>A brief biographical statement of no more than 50 words<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference will be conducted in English. All proposals, papers and presentations will be required to be in English.<\/p>\n<p>Preference will be given to presentations that will equip participants with ideas and skills that can be applied in their workplace.<\/p>\n<p>The expected audience is likely to include public library staff, cultural workers, students and scholars, other professionals working in the information industry and government representatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proposals should be sent before 14 December 2016 via email to:<\/p>\n<p>Email: <a href=\"mailto:ifla@orange.nsw.gov.au\">ifla@orange.nsw.gov.au<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Successful proposals will be identified and announced by 23 January 2017.
