The research indicates there is still a high demand for the resources and services of the nation\u2019s approximately 9,000 public libraries. IMLS released the report, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imls.gov\/research\/public_libraries_in_the_us_fy_2012_report.aspx\"><em>Public Libraries in the United States Survey: Fiscal Year 2012<\/em><\/a>, an analysis of the most comprehensive annual data collection of US public library statistics.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Survey<\/em>\u00a0 examines when, where, and how library services are changing to meet the needs of the public.
