Call for proposals for IFLA Columbus, Ohia, USA (13-19 August 2016)

The IFLA School Libraries Section is seeking proposals for a program to be held at IFLA Congress in Columbus, Ohio (USA) 13-19 August 2016. The theme is ‘Connections. Collaboration. Community’. The title of the session is ‘Inclusion for School Library Implementation’.

The successful proposals (template provided) will consist of:

  • a 300 word description of a 2000 – 2500 word paper about the program/services/research in their presentation which will be published in the IFLA online library;
  • include a copyright and plagiarism statement; and
  • abstracts will be distributed to all tables and used during Workshop discussions

IFLA 2016 National Committee Fellowship Grant Announced!

 

The IFLA 2016 National Committee, through generous donations from the North American library community, will offer up to 50 full fellowships to librarians from outside North America (U.S. and Canada) to attend the IFLA 2016 Congress in Columbus, Ohio.

The fellowship will cover travel, accommodation, a per diem food allowance, and conference registration fees. Priority will be given to younger professionals with a minimum of 5 years experience in the field of libraries who do not usually attend IFLA Conferences.
